Everett Duke Harbison, 80, of Center, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Ed McRae and Bro. Steve Noble officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Mr. Harbison was born May 18, 1935, in Shelby County, to Leon Harbison and Vallie Bell Samford Harbison. He retired from Center Police Department after 16 years of service and was also Constable in Center for 4 years. Later in life, Mr. Harbison opened EZ Money Pawn Shop and was known for his custom woodwork, making beautiful pistol grips and displays for members of his law enforcement family as well as others. He was a member of Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149 and New Life Church.
