Mary Risinger Neill

 

 

Mary Risinger Neill, 99, of Timpson, Texas passed away on April 28, 2020 in Timpson, Texas.  Born January 14, 1921 in Tenaha, Texas, to the late Lawrence Risinger and Francis (Youngblood) Risinger.  Funeral  service will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas, on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 10AM.  Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery, FM1970N, Timpson, Texas.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 5-7PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas.

 

Mary was raised in Tenaha, Texas. She attended Tenaha, and Timpson schools.  She married her first love, Marcus Witherspoon, in 1939. They had two beautiful daughters, Margaret and Elizabeth.  She soon became a widow at the young age of 35 with two teenage girls to continue to raise.  The Lord provided another soulmate, Bill Neill and the two were married in 1962. The two spent over 33 years together before his passing in 1995.  Mary enjoyed working in her garden and yard. She was a member of a sewing group at First Baptist Church, Tenaha for many years, sewing lap robes for the nursing homes.  She always loved and cared for her family. Mary loved her friends but most of all loved God.  She was quite a cook, and made sure everyone was happy.  Mary was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Oliver and Elizabeth Goff; Grandchildren, Andrea Oliver, Mark Oliver and wife Randee, Justin Oliver and wife Rebecca, Joe Goff and wife Jodie; Great- grandchildren, Rebekah Lewis and husband George, Kirsten Kimzey, Aislynn Kimzey, Devin Kimzey, Paul Oliver, Ryan Oliver, Alyssa Oliver, Gretta Oliver, Jacob Goff; Nieces, Marita Powers, Ouida McDaniel and husband Mike; Nephews, Joe Dan Risinger and wife Gail, Larry Risinger and wife Sandra; and a host of famiy and friends that will miss her dearly.

 

Mary is preceded in death by her husbands, Marcus Witherspoon, Bill Neill; parents, Lawrence and Francis Risinger; brothers, Fred Risinger, Buford Risinger; sisters, Grace Stedman, Ruth Witherspoon, Faye Jacobs; sons in law, Wayne Oliver and Bobby Goff.

Lawrence “Larry” Campanello – death notice

 

Lawrence Joseph Campanello, 78, of Timpson, Texas passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 in Timpson, Texas surrounded by loved ones.  Born May 28, 1941, in Auburn, New York to Joseph Campanello and Anna Steihr Campanello.

 

Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, Texas with Bro. Dee Daniel officiating. 

 

Larry was born and raised in Port Byron, New York. He graduated Port Byron High School and immediately joined the workforce.  His love for crepe myrtle trees and where they grew and bloomed, brought him to East Texas in 1978. Larry worked for Orkin many years as an exterminator.  His entrepreneurship ability led him to open Larry’s Pest Control, which he owned and operated for over 25 years.  He served many customers over the years in the East Texas area.  Larry was a very social person, he never met a stranger.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved gardening, each year planting a huge garden so that he could share with others.  When he wasn’t in the garden you could find him fishing or hunting..  He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids. 

 

He is survived by his sons, Larry J. Campanello of Arkansas City, Kansas, Jeff Campanello of Leland, North Carolina; daughter, Tina Smith of Auburn, New York; grandchildren, Katie and Timothy Smith; sisters, Santa Pelc of Auburn, New York, Annie Okiec of Buffalo, New York; special friend, Claudia Bailey of Tenaha, Texas; and a host of friends that will miss him dearly.

 

Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Gilles Campanello; and parents, Joseph and Anna Campanello.

Mary Louise Chessher Kunkel

 

 

Mary Louise Chessher Kunkel, 29, of Nacogdoches, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, in Covington, Louisiana.


Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  


Born May 1, 1990, she was the daughter of Cecil Chessher and Vickie Regina Bailey Chessher.  Mary was blessed with four children and a husband, whom she loved dearly.  She was a spontaneous young lady and a big dreamer, determined to make each dream come true.  One of her finest traits was her positive attitude.  Spending time with her family, whether on the beach, walking out in the woods, or just a get-together were times she treasured. Cooking (and eating) was a hobby for her and she was so proud of each meal she prepared.  Mary especially enjoyed the fun time she and her husband would have making BBQ. Her true personality could be seen as she danced with music blaring.  Mary loved the Lord and hid God’s Word in her heart.  She was a member of The Called Out Church in Center.


She is survived by her husband, Bo Kunkel of Nacogdoches; children, Elijah Robert Kunkel, Am’Mariah Jozlynn Kunkel, Zaid Liam Kunkel, and Aryah Re’Cecily Kunkel all of Nacogdoches; parents; sisters, Sarah Chessher and Michael of Center, Shannon McGuire of Amarillo, Chasity Cooper and husband Shane of Center, and Leah Woodhatch of Nacogdoches; brother, Chad Chessher and wife Jenney of Center; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members; Betty Perez; and a host of friends.

Mary Louise Harborth, 93, of Nacogdoches, formerly of New Braunfels, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in Nacogdoches.


Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at McClelland Cemetery in Shelbyville with Bro. Chris Collins officiating. 


Born June 4, 1926, in Center, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Dean and Ceceal Webb Dean.  Mrs. Harborth graduated from Shelbyville High School and later began a career with Southwestern Bell from which she retired.  In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to her annual cruise.  


She is survived by her niece, Ceceal Dean of Joaquin; nephew, Richard Dean of Center; great nephews, Raven Dean and Justin Evans; and great niece, Haley Evans.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Hilmer Harborth; parents; and brother, James Dean.

James “Jimmy” Bradshaw, 80, of Center, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, in Lufkin.

Born October 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Bascom Bradshaw and Sarah Victoria Taylor Bradshaw. He was a member of Short United Methodist Church.


He is survived by his wife, Myrline Bradshaw; daughter, Becky Jefferson; grandchildren, Justin and Christina Jefferson, Alysen Jefferson, and Trent Jefferson; brother-in-law, Vernon Askew of LaPorte; sister-in-law, Edna Hardy of Henderson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Andrea L. Abbitt, 74, of Joaquin, passed away February 29, 2020, in Joaquin.

Born March 21, 1945, in Cuero, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Felix Roacha and Pauline Amador Roacha.  She loved to play with her dogs, was a great cook, and loved helping others.  She always had a smile on her beautiful face.  She loved to tell jokes to make others laugh.  She believed in living life to the fullest and she did.  She especially loved spending time with her family.  She will be truly missed by many.


She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Pike of Nacogdoches; stepson, Marcus Garza Jr.; grandchildren, Mark Campbell of Nacogdoches, Taylor Cole of Little Elm, Texas, Candace Abbitt of Newnan, Georgia, Alexis Abbitt of Newnan, Georgia, and Brooke Abbitt of Newnan, Georgia; numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives; special nephew, Johnny Anzaldua; and special friend, John Harper III.

Roy James Ellis

 

 

Roy James Ellis, 82, of Center, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, in Nacogdoches.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.


Born August 20, 1937, in Houston, he was the son of the late Frank Ellis and Emma Eidner Ellis.  He worked in construction.  His hobbies included hunting, fast pitch softball, watching old westerns, and going to casinos.  Mr. Ellis loved spending time with his grandkids.


He is survived by his wife, Judy Emanis Ellis of Center; children, Freddie James Ellis and wife Carolyn of Pasadena, Garry Buck and wife Mary of Cypress, Shari Bumpus and husband Michael of Montgomery, Derek Chance of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kristina Rountree and husband Justin of Elgin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a host of friends.

Howard Allen Lout

 

 

Howard Allen Lout, 74 of Center passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 14th with Bro. Andy Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held graveside at 10:30 prior to the service. Graveside is at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

 

Howard was born on May 21, 1945 in Dreka, Shelby County, Texas to Jewel Maxie Lout and Ruby Lee Payne Lout. He attended Shelbyville school through the 8th grade and graduated from Center High School in 1964. He also attended Stephen F. Austin State University.

 

Shortly after graduation Howard joined the US Air Force and served his country in Okinawa, Japan and in Vietnam in Saigon during the infamous Tet Offensive. He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1968. 

 

In July of 1968, Howard met the love of his life, Mary Lou Bussey of Center. They were married December 23, 1969 and just celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary. 

 

Howard began his 45-year-career as furniture salesman working for brother-in-law John Dean Windham at Windham Home Furnishings in Center in 1970. In 1978 he and his wife, Mary Lou opened Lout Furniture Showrooms where they worked together building the business until 1990. Howard also worked for Ivan Smith Furniture, where he was recognized as top salesman many times. He retired in 2015. 

 

The joys of Howard’s life were his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed telling them all stories of when he was a little country boy growing up in the Dreka community. They relished time together cooking, gardening, fishing and especially going to his favorite place - The Beach - with Paw. He was incredibly proud of his family keeping in constant contact with them almost daily. 

Howard was a member of Center First United Pentecostal Church, where he was head of the usher ministry for many years. This position was perfect for him, as he loved people and never met a stranger. He had an incredible memory and never forgot a face, a name or his hundreds of faithful customers in the furniture business. He counted his customers as his friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Billy Mack and Bruce Lout, and in-laws Mac and Mattie Lou Bussey.

De’Adrian Porter Wood, 60, of Vidor, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Kevin Windham officiating.  Interment will follow at Folsom Chapel Cemetery in Shelby County.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.


Born November 30, 1959, in Odessa, she was the daughter of the late John R. Porter and Dorothy Lane Porter.  She retired as a substance abuse counsellor.  Her hobbies included doing crafts and reading.  She loved visiting with friends who were important to her and most of all, visiting with her grandbabies.


She is survived by her husband, Raymond Wood of Vidor; son, Chris Wood and wife Cindy of Vidor; sister, Candace Barber and husband Shane of Center; nephew, Chance Porter and wife Alyson of Center; grandchildren, Charley Peveto, Roger Peveto, and Isaiah Miss; sister-in-law, Linda Porter Shelton of Center; brother, Lance Dickey of Vidor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a host of friends.

Born July 4, 1925, in Huxley, he was the son of the late Jim Fred Campbell and Callie Furlow Campbell.  He served in the United States Navy.  In 1973, he became the owner of Campbell Grocery.


He is survived by his son, Rickey Campbell of Spring; sisters and brother, Louise Greer, Ann Scarber, O.C. Crit Campbell, and Kay Ballard; and numerous niece and nephews.

Diana Gail (Soden) Fields

 

 

Diana Gail (Soden) Fields, 76, of Center, TX, entered eternal peace on Sunday April 5, 2020, at her daughter’s, Patti Hughes, home surrounded by her family.


Diana was born October 1, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, to Cecil J. Soden Sr. and Agnes M. Peterson. She graduated from Paramount High School in 1960.


She leaves behind her loving husband, Leo Fields, of 47 years; their daughters, Sharon (David) Shafer and Patricia “Patti” (Jonathan) Hughes; their son, Daniel (Mickey) Fields; her numerous amount of grandchildren and great grandchildren; her loving nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives.


Diana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She never met a stranger.  People always could feel the love she had for them.


She had a passion for genealogy, crafts, cooking, and learning new things.  Diana was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.


She asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Texas Home Health Hospice, 2714 North University Dr., Suite #100, Nacogdoches, TX 75965.


Interment will be held at Powdrill Cemetery in Shelby County, Texas, with James (Joe) Ross presiding.


Pallbearers will be Leo Fields, Daniel Fields, Jonathan Hughes I, Jason “Cody” Hughes, Jonathan Hughes II, and James (Joe) Ross.

Richard Woolf

 

 

Richard Woolf, 53, of Joaquin, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, in Joaquin.    
Mr. Woolf’s wishes were to be cremated and no service is planned at this time.


Born February 25, 1967, he is the son of Mark Woolf and Lela Wolfe Woolf.  He served in the United States Army and later worked in production at Tyson. He was a member of Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.


He is survived by his parents; sisters, Dianne Woolf Allard and husband Kevin and Marsha Woolf Barnett and husband Billy; niece, Julie Allard and husband Brandon; nephews, Matthew Beasley and wife Kyndal, Joshua Beasley, Eddie Allard, and Kevin Allard; great nephew, Owen Beasley; and great niece, Adylene Beasley.


He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Norma Wolfe and Claude and Elizabeth Woolf; and great niece, Emma Beasley.

Martha Lout

 

 

Martha Lout, 76, of Center, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, in Nacogdoches.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Rather Cemetery in Shelbyville with Bro.

 

Jim Moss and Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

 

Born August 16, 1943, in Carpenter, Mississippi, she is the daughter of the late A.M. Shadowens and Birtie Lee May Shadowens. Mrs. Lout was a Sunday school teacher at Ephesus Baptist Church in Shelbyville for many
years.

 

She is survived by her husband, Jack Lout of Center; son, Shad Lout and wife Casey of Center; grandchildren, Colby Lout, Eli Lout, Dylan Lout, and Ali Lout.


Honorary pallbearers will be James Goodwyn, Jimmy Strong, Kenneth Hardy, Monte Taylor, Paul Taylor, Kelvin Hudman, Richard Tomlin, Joe Lawson, Harold Baty, and Maxie Eaves.

Timothy Wesley Zorn, 50, of Center, Texas passed away on April 1, 2020 in Center, Texas.  Born February 24, 1970, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Timothy is the son of Herb Zorn and Freida Marie (Robinson) Samford.  A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Jayce Lane Jackson, 27, of Center, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020, in Lufkin.
Funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Richard Goodwyn officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.  Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.


Born July 27, 1992, in Center, she is the daughter of Rocky Jackson and Jayme Wright Jackson.  Her hobbies included hunting and fishing.  She attended Sardis Missionary Baptist Church.


She is survived by her parents, Jayme and Rocky Jackson; grandparents, Juanita Jackson of Center and James Wright of Center; uncles and aunts, Jody and Angie Wright of Center, Randy and Anita Alford, and Teresa and Jimmy Nash; special friends, Kursti and Cameron Agnew; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends.


She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tommy Jackson and Maxie Wright.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Agnew, Randy Alford, Patrick Wiggins, Kevin Nash, Joey Nash, and Timmy Belrose.  Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Alford.
