The 2019 East Texas Poultry Festival had its opening ceremony on October 3, 3019, at 10 a.m. the cutting of the Boa was done on the Frances Oates center stage, speeches were given by different officials, including Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison, and Center Mayor David Chadwick.
