43rd Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Schedule of Events

 

The 43rd Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, Sponsored by Farmers State Bank, opens its gates to a weekend of Fun, Entertainment, Arts and Crafts and lots of Food! The Poultry Festival will be this week October 3rd through October 5th on the downtown Center square, below is some organized information on what has happened and what is scheduled to happen.

Admission & Armbands


Admission buttons are $5 per person and are good for all 3 days, armbands for the rides are $20 per person and will be available Thursday from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

 

 

 

2019 Poultry Festival Queen

 

The 2019 East Texas Poultry Festival Queen Kristen Orsak was crowned on Saturday, September 30, 2019, at Center High School at the East Texas Poultry Festival Queen's Court Scholarship Pageant. For pageant results click here:

 

 

Doo Dah Parade Results

 

Doo Dah Parade trophy winners include: First Place Windham Family Dental, Second Place Farmers State Bank, Third Place Children’s Dental

 

Queen’s Court float winners include Sweepstakes, Kaitlin Williams; Presidential, Tatum Mettauer; Mayor, Kennedy Bush; and Honorable Mention, Morgan Jefferson.

Opening Ceremony

 

The Cutting of Boa will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:00 am on the Frances Oates Center Stage! Children from all over the County will keep us entertained for the rest of the day! Chicken Trot and Fun Run

 

The 5K Chicken Trot and Fun Run, Sponsored by Cline’s Family Medicine and 936 Crossfit will be held on Saturday morning, October 5th, on the downtown square.  Fun Run starts at 7 a.m. and the Trot starts at 7:30 a.m. For more on the run click here:

 

 

Broiler Show & Auction

 

The East Texas Poultry Festival Broiler Show will take place on Saturday morning October 5th, 2019, at 9 a.m. at Raymond Motor Company located at 301 San Augustine Street in Center, Texas and the Broiler Show Auction will take place that evening on the downtown Center square at 7 p.m. For more information on the Broiler Show & Auction contact the Shelby County Extension Office at 936-598-7744 or click here:  

 

 

Rooster Breakfast

 

New this year is the Rooster Breakfast on Saturday morning following the Trot.  It is Sponsored by East Texas Poultry Supply.  It will begin at 8 a.m. at Raymond Motors.  Center High School Culinary Arts students will be preparing and selling the breakfast. Wing It Chicken Wing Eating Contest

 

Also new this year will be “Wing It” the Chicken wing eating contest.  How hot can you go?  Find out on Saturday, October 5th at 5:30 after the Chicken Clucking Contest.  First 12 victims to sign up can participate. For more on the chicken wing eating contest click here:

 

 

Car & Motorcycle Show

 

The Second Annual Poultry Festival Car and Motorcycle Show sponsored by Zack’s Tint Shop. The Show will be held on Saturday, October 5th as a part of the Poultry Festival Saturday activities. Photography Show

 

The 43rd Annual East Poultry Festival Open Photography Show will be held at the office of Dr. Charles R. Collard, O.D. located next to the RIO Theatre on the downtown Center Square, October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. For more on the photography show click here:

 

 

Quilt Show and Creative Arts Show

 

This year’s Quilt Show, sponsored by Scull Timber, and Creative Arts show will be held in the Old Historic Courthouse on the downtown square. For more on the Creative Arts Show click here:
