The Garrison ISD is in search for a new athletic director and head football coach as Craig Barker leaves Garrison after two seasons to take over the same duties at Class 4A Kaufman High School, east of Dallas. In two seasons, Barker guided the Bulldogs to a 19-5 record, a district title and two playoff berths. Barker assumes his new job in Kaufman today. The Garrison job was Barker’s first as an AD and head football coach. Garrison Superintendent Darren Webb said he will meet with the Garrison ISD school board tonight to discuss hiring a new AD and head football coach.
