Center City Council to Meet This Afternoon

The City of Center Street Improvements for Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors will meet at 4 this afternoon to approve the Fiscal Year 2013 Audit, the 2014 Street Program, discuss and approve matching funds for Texas Downtown Revitalization Grant Program and discuss construction of sidewalks on MLK Drive.

 

When the Center City Council meets at 5 today, their agenda will include several Texas Capital Fund Grant matters having to do with the new Center Motor Company construction, and the proposed Country Place Homes assisted living facility. In addition, the council will approve a resolution creating park donation fund to ensure funds, pledges and grant proceeds; and discussion and possible renewal of the two-year mowing and maintenance contract for city property that has a $2,500 increase. There’s also a request from First Baptist Church for temporary closure of Pecan, Porter and Jackson Streets this Saturday, May 17 for their car show. The council is also likely to cancel the May 26 meeting due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
