A Nacogdoches car dealership was hit by thieves Monday night when over $30,000 worth of wheels and tires were taken off brand new vehicles on the dealership’s lot. Rex Perry GMC-Cadillac-Hyundai on Loop 224 at Old Tyler Road had wheels and tires taken off two Cadillac Escalades, two GMC Sierra pickup trucks and two GMC Yukons, leaving all of the vehicles sitting on wooden blocks. According to the police report, the thefts occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 8:45 Tuesday morning. Anyone with any information about the suspect or suspects involved in the crime is urged to call the Nacogdoches Police Department at (936) 559-2607. The same type thefts have occurred at other new car dealerships in Texas and Louisiana, including Tyler, Kirbyville and Silsbee. Car dealerships in Center or San Augustine have reported no similar incidents.
