Arrest Warrants Expected for Two Men that Fled Scene of Accident

Felony warrants are expected to be filed on two individuals that fled the scene of a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon near Timpson.

ShelbyCountyToday.com is reporting that 34-year old David Lewis, Jr. of Timpson, the driver of a Pontiac G6, along with a passenger, 22-year old Jacob Jackson of Shelbyville, attempted to make an illegal u-turn in front of a Shreveport family on Hwy. 59 north near FM 1645, causing the Ford pickup driven by 30-year old Jedediah Davenport to roll and come to rest on its top in a bar ditch.

The article said Lewis and Jackson fled the scene on foot and were not at the scene when DPS Trooper Zach Mills arrived. It's reported Davenport, along with her wife, 25-year old Bridgette Davenport were transported to Timpson ambulance to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Their two young children were unharmed.

Lewis and Jackson are expected to be charged with failure to stop and render aid.
