Timpson Family Loses Home, Belongings in Sunday Fire; Account Set Up for Center Victims

A Timpson area family lost their home and belongings to a fire early Sunday morning. James Sullivan, his sister Ruth Ruggs, along with two other family members escaped the blaze on FM 2667, the Lake Timpson Road. Despite efforts by the Timpson Volunteer Fire Department, the mobile home was a total loss. It’s reported they’re staying at a Center motel since they have no local family. Sullivan was taken by Timpson ambulance to a Nacogdoches hospital to be checked out for smoke inhalation. The family is in need of clothing and a place to stay. Also, in an unrelated need, an account has been established at Farmers State Bank for the Jodie Fountain family. They lost their home and belongings in a house fire April 17 on Pearl Lake Road off Hwy. 7 West in the McSwain Hill area. The community has been generous with donations, according to a family friend. They’re reportedly in need of funds, therefore the start of account at Farmers State Bank for the Jodie Fountain family.
