San Augustine: Pilgrim's Pride Job Fair April 24

San Augustine County is preparing for a Pilgrim’s Pride job fair to be held next Thursday, April 24, which county, city and community leaders hope will help put to work a number of citizens in a company that offers good wages and benefits. The event is planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Log Cabin in San Augustine. The job fair is a joint effort involving San Augustine County, Tri County Community Action, Deep East Texas Workforce Solutions, and Pilgrim’s Pride.

San Augustine County Judge Samye Johnson says Pilgrim’s Pride is looking to fill some 165 jobs, including feed truck drivers and poultry plant production.

Judge Johnson says the Pilgrim’s Pride job fair is open to anyone from any county, not just San Augustine.

If you’re looking for a job, or a change in employment, mark your calendar for next Thursday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Pilgrim’s Pride job fair at the Log Cabin in San Augustine.
