A community blood drive will be held tomorrow, Good Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Center. The event has been co-sponsored by  local churches, including First Baptist, Center United Pentecostal, and First United Methodist for around 8 years now.

Lyn Logan is the blood drive chairperson. She says the event is a mission program, and it may be the most important thing you do all day.

Ms. Logan says her husband has prepared chili, and there’ll be homemade cookies available, all free to those that stop in and give the gift of life during Friday’s Community Blood Drive at First United Methodist Church in Center at 211 Porter Street.
