Bloomin' on the Square Set for Saturday

The 4th Annual Shelby County Bloomin’ on the Square will be held this Saturday. The event will be from at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the downtown Center historic square.  Attendees will have the opportunity to see exhibits, demonstrations, displays, purchase new blooms, Native Texas plants, roses, day lilies, exchange plants and seeds, learn tips on how to plant and enhance their yard.  Lawn equipment, garden tools, and landscape information will also be available. The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center will hold a “Butterfly Release” at 11:00 a.m. and Create-A-Critter will be hosting a children’s Princess and the Frog Tea Party on the courthouse lawn beginning at 11:30.  With April being Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness month, CASA will be holding their “March Against Child Abuse” beginning at 10 Saturday morning at the CASA office at 131 Porter Street.
