Nacogdoches Convenience Store Robbed by Shelby County Men

TwTwo Shelby County men have been arrested for armed robbery of a Nacogdoches convenience store. Nacogdoches Police say 39-year old Kenneth Wayne Boyd of Shelbyville and 30-year old Derrick Dewayne Johnson of Center have been charged with aggravated robbery of the Valero on Durst Street in Nacogdoches around 8 Sunday morning. The police report says officers arrived at the store and saw a vehicle leaving the parking lot of a nearby church and found Boyd to be the sole occupant. He was found to be in possession of PCP and crack cocaine. Meanwhile, residents near that location reported a suspicious male walking. Officers responded and found Johnson to match the description of the person who had robbed the store, and found evidence of the crime on him. Boyd was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
