Joaquin Man Injured when Jeep Rolls, Search For Vehicle that Failed to Yield

Local authorities are looking for the driver of a red pickup truck that was involved in an incident Sunday evening in Joaquin. DPS Trooper Keith Jones says 80-year old John Doris Walton of Joaquin was traveling westbound on the Hwy. 84 on-ramp at the Hwy. 7 & 84 intersection in a Jeep, when an unknown pickup failed to yield right of way, forcing Walton off the road and into the ditch. The Jeep rolled after striking a culvert, ejecting Walton from the vehicle. He was taken by life-flight to University Health in Shreveport for treatment of injuries. He was reported to be conscious when he left the scene. There are no other details available on the description of the pickup.
