A citizen’s tip has lead to the arrest of a Center man, and the recovery of a stolen pick up and possible stolen firearms. Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Shad Sparks says Rodney Cooley was found at a residence at 449 Country Road 4415 by Investigator John Pope and Deputy Roy Bailey on Thursday. A 2010 Chevrolet Pick up, reported stolen from Longview was located along with two possible stolen guns. During the investigation, authorities discovered Cooley was also wanted out of Nacogdoches County. Rodney Cooley was booked into the Shelby County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and a Failure to Appear Warrant.
