Nacogdoches County: Teen Sexually Assault

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office is saying the 15-year old female that was the subject of an Amber Alert after she came up missing last month, was sexually assaulted.

In a press release, the sheriff’s office says they have concluded their investigation and during interviews with the victim, family members and friends, the victim did go with the suspect voluntarily, but the sheriff’s office also believes the victim may have felt pressured to go with the suspect.

Twenty-seven year old Juan Delacruz, who reportedly is an illegal alien, and may have lived in Center, had a fixation on this victim for several months. The sheriff’s office says they can see where he has manipulated her during this time. Delacruz was located at a construction site in Lubbock, and the teen was found at a motel room there—two days after coming up missing. Warrants for charges of Enticing a Child, a 3rd degree felony, and Sexual Assault of a child, a 2nd degree felony were issued against Delacruz. A charge of kidnapping was dropped after the suspect confessed to the sexual assault, which occurred in Nacogdoches County.

Sheriff Jason Bridges also stated that Delacruz also has a pending hold on him from the border patrol and expects more charges to be filed in Lubbock for crimes that occurred there while he had the juvenile.
