The first two months of 2014 has kept the Shelby County Sheriff's Office quite busy. Chief Deputy Shad Sparks released the calls for service the department made, in addition to the arrest in January and February. For the first month of the year, deputies made 688 calls for service, while 525 were made in February. Chief Sparks said this does not include walk in complainants nor on view incidents observed by deputies. The Sheriff's Office had a total of 94 booked into the jail in January, and 91 booked in February.
