The average price for a gallon of regular gas statewide is running about $3.32 a gallon, up seven cents in the past week, according to gasbuddy.com. In Louisiana, a gallon’s also averaging $3.22. Nationally, the average is $3.51, up another three cents for the week, but down some 15-cents from this week a year ago. Here at home, checking prices this morning, prices are up from 10 to 14 cents this week. The lowest we found in Center this morning was at EZ Mart on Hwy. 96 North, Tenaha Hwy., where it’s $3.29 a gallon. Prices are projected to climb possibly another quarter through early summer before they begin a decline.
