San Augustine County Livestock Show Starts Thursday

The San Augustine County Livestock Show & Fair is set for this Thursday thru Saturday at the San Augustine County Fairgrounds. The events kick-off Thursday with the San Augustine County 4-H Council's Chili Cook-off at the Youth Exhibit Barn. Serving to the public will be at 5:30 and its all-you-can eat for $5. Awards will be presented to first, second and third places for Best Chili, and awards will be presented for cooking area "Showmanship", and "Peoples Choice Chili".

 

The Friday activities include the fair exhibits display from 3 to 6 p.m.; and the broiler show at 4:30 p.m., and market rabbit show at 5 p.m., with the Dance starting at 7. Saturday, March 22, is a busy show day, beginning at 9 with market hogs, followed by lambs, goats, the heifer show, and steer show. An appreciation rib dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m., with the awards presentation at 6:30, and livestock & fair auction at 7.
