After challenger Allison Harbison took the most ballots last Tuesday night after the party primary election, and Monday night when the provisional ballots were counted—both one-vote wins, Republican Party Chairperson Leigh Porterfield told me yesterday, that incumbent Judge Rick Campbell had not yet submitted a formal request asking for a re-count. The votes will be canvassed tomorrow, and Campbell will have until 2 p.m. Friday to make a request for a re-count. Judge Campbell told us Monday night he would be asking for a manual re-count of ballots.
