Funeral Notices: 3/10/14

Garrison Funeral Home was in charge of service Sunday for 41-year old Wendy Curbow Pinkston of Nacogdoches. Service was held at Garrison Funeral Home with burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Garrison. Among Wendy Curbow Pinkston’s survivors are daughters, Whitney Rhodes of Timpson, and Candace Rhodes of Douglass; a son, Kolten Rhodes of Douglass; sisters, Nancy Finchum of Nacogdoches and Darla Boatwright of New Mexico and a brother, Casey Curbow of New Mexico.

 

Garrison Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 79-year old Marjorie Rider McDuffie of Nacogdoches. She passed away last Thursday in Nacogdoches. Graveside service will be at 11 this morning at Cold Springs Cemetery in Garrison. Among Marjorie Rider McDuffie’s survivors are her husband, Billy Joe McDuffie of Nacogdoches; son, Joe McDuffie of Houston; daughter, Patti Fougerousse of Lufkin, Texas; and brother, Harold Rider of Carthage. The family has requested that donations be made to the ALS Association.

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home announces service for 77-year old Mrs. Wanda (Evett) Johnson of the Attoyac Community in San Augustine County. She passed away Friday in San Augustine County. Service will be at 2 today in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with interment in the Attoyac Cemetery. Among Wanda Evett Johnson’s survivors are a son, Perry Johnson of Prescott, Ark., daughter, Connie Wood of Humble; sister, Ima Hazel Evett Kirby of Jasper; and brother, Leonard Evett of San Augustine.

 

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces a graveside service for 80-year old Sue Smith of Center. She passed away Saturday at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Center. She was a longtime employee of Farmers State Bank. Graveside service will be at 12 noon Saturday, March 15 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Among Sue Smith’s survivors are a daughter, Lynda Lee Hernandez of Garland; daughter-in-law, Melissa Lee of Center; sister, Margarite Hathorn of Center; and brothers, Larry Smith of Center and Steve Smith of Dallas. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations can be made to Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library, First Baptist Church of Center, or to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation in Plano, Texas.
