Shelby County Livestock Show Results

At the 2014 Shelby County Livestock Show and Sale last Saturday, Grand Champion Steer honors went to Chris Dunn of Center 4-H, who’s animal sold to Farmers State Bank for $3,750; Grand Champion Market Hog was shown by Kelsey Adair of Center 4-H, and sold to Shelby Savings Bank, McAdams Propane, Port-a-Cool, Hunter Buildings, and County Judge Rick Campbell for $2,250; Grand Champion Market Goat went to April Ramsey of the Timpson FFA and sold to Mackey Cattle Company for $1,900; and Grand Champion Market Lamb was shown by Kayleigh Scroggins of Timpson FFA, and sold to Azure-Midstream for $1,500.

 

Reserve Grand Champion Steer was Ethan Wood of Joaquin FFA, and was purchased by XTO for $1,800; Reserve Grand Market Hog went to Lance Holloway of Center 4-H and bought by Heritage Land Bank for $2,200; the Reserve Grand-Market Goat was shown by Emma Martin of Joaquin FFA, and bought by Farmers State Bank for $1,200; and the Reserve Grand Market Lamb went to Madison Fleming of Timpson FFA, and sold to XTO for $1,200.

 

The Grand Champion Heifer of this year’s Shelby County Livestock Show was shown by Ethan Wood of Joaquin FFA; Reserve Grand Champion Heifer was shown by April Ramsey of Timpson FFA; Champion Bull, Lauren Neal of Joaquin FFA; Champion Market Rabbits, Allison Odom of Shelbyville 4-H; and Reserve Champion Market Rabbits, Kirsti Jernigan of Shelbyville 4-H.
