Official weather observers Jim & Ann Forbes have released the February weather statistics for Center.

The February rain total was 2.74 inches, which was 2.21 inches below the 4.95 average. To date for 2014, Center has received 4.31 inches, which is 5.09 inches below the average of 9.40 inches. As  the records go for February rain, the most ever in Center was 8.90 inches in 2003, with the least, .34 in February 1996.

Temperatures for February 2014: The high for the month occurred on Feb. 17 when the mercury hit 78; while the low was 26 on Feb. 13.

The average high for the month of February was 58 degrees; while the average low was 33.

According to Jim, the record all-time February high in Center was 90 degrees on Feb. 21, 1986; and the record low for February occurred on Feb. 2, 1951 when it was zero in Center.
