Tenaha: H.O.P.E. Project to hold Mardi Gras Theme 5K, Festival

The H.O.P.E. Project in Tenaha is sponsoring the Big Easy 5K fun run Mardi Gras celebration this Saturday, March 1 to benefit the non-profit organizations new dental facility.

 

The fun run/walk event will have a Mardi Gras festival mood, complete with games, food, prizes, a kid’s zone and something for everyone in the family, and will all take place in downtown Tenaha. Organizers say sign-in registration opens at 8 a.m. Preregistration for the race can be done at www.thebigeasy5K.com.

 

The H.O.P.E. Project serves Shelby, Panola and San Augustine Counties with medical and dental services at a discount rate, and regardless of ability to pay. The H.O.P.E. clinic is staffed with doctor, 4 mid-level nurse practioners and two full-time dentists. The new dental clinic will be located across the street from the existing facility in Tenaha, and should be open April 28.
