Hoping third time is the charm, the San Augustine County Commissioners’ Court will attempt to hold a special meeting at 9 this morning to make several presentations to Tri-County.

The court will sign over ownership of a building the county obtained to house San Augustine County’s new social services center. The county obtained the structure after a successful bid to HUD. In addition, a mini bus will be presented to Tri-County to serve as San Augustine County’s first transit vehicle.

Prior to the presentations, Dr. Freddie Avant from the SFA School of Social Work will present information on a two-year Social Service Needs Assessment used for obtaining the social services center. A reception will follow the meeting.
