Center: Emergency Facility Groundbreaking Wednesday

A ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday morning  as Nacogdoches Medical Center will break ground on construction of a 10-thousand square foot 24-hour satellite emergency department and diagnostic imaging center. The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. at the hospital’s property at Hwy. 96 south and Loop 500 in Center. The public is invited to join the hospital and local leaders to celebrate the occasion. The satellite emergency department will provide emergency services for adults and children. It will be staffed by experienced, board-certified physicians with direct access to surgeons and specialty physicians.  The $7.5-million facility will also have a fully staffed laboratory and imaging services, and should be open by this Fall.
