Nacogdoches County: Three Arrested For Fake Hoax

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office took a zero tolerance stance when it came to a hoax threat made against the Woden ISD last Sunday.

Three individuals were arrested Wednesday on a warrant and charged with terroristic threat which is a third-degree felony. Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said the suspects, all former Woden students, were identified and questioned early Monday morning. He said his investigators were able to determine that the threat was a hoax and that none of the suspects were actually planning any type of violent act against the school.

Charged were 19-year old Cade Watson, 18-year old Daisy Martinez and 18-year old Jessica Lyons. S

heriff Bridges said his office was notified Sunday of a threat that was circulating on Facebook towards the Woden ISD, on a site called Woden Trash. After several hours of investigating, the sheriff’s office was able to obtain an IP address to the computer used in the threat.
