The Center ISD Board of Trustees have a regular meeting at 6 tonight, and among agenda items for consideration and possible action will be authorizing administration to submit application for low attendance days waiver. Superintendent Dr. James Hockenberry said the waiver is related to the late start on Jan. 24 due to icy weather. He said the district had low attendance that day and the waiver would exempt CISD from financial losses.
Also, the resolution amending wording on Wells Fargo Bond Contract will be discussed, which Hockenberry said would keep parts of payments in the district’s possession for longer periods of time.
He added the agenda item related to House Bill 5 Community Engagement Survey Dialogue is still being clarified, and part of the bill includes a community engagement survey that must be locally developed and distributed. The district will begin discussing the process to meet the requirements and execution.
In addition, the CISD board will consider any leaves of absence, resignation/retirement, employment of personnel and sub teachers.
