Amber Alert Cancelled for Missing Children, Found Safe

The Shelby County Sheriff’s office is reporting that the three missing children from the Tenaha area were found safe around 6 o’clock last night in Tenaha.

A nationwide Amber Alert was issued last Sunday for 16-year old Viviana Alvarado, her 1-year-old daughter Paolo, and 2-year-old brother Ivan Alvarado. Authorities say the three were located in the Tenaha last night, and a misunderstanding among the family may have led to the initial report of their missing.

There were reports the three may have been seen getting into a vehicle last Thursday in the company of an unknown male. No arrest have been made or expected.

Sheriff Willis Blackwell said the FBI and Texas Rangers had been called in to assist local officials in the search for the three.
