An investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department has lead to the arrest of a man for a stabbing last month.

Sheriff’s Investigator D.J. Dickerson says Landon Vidrine turned himself in Wednesday, charged with Felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury.

Dickerson told us an altercation occurred between Vidrine and a Jesse Gann on Country Road 1024 in Center during the early morning hours on December 28. The confrontation resulted from Vidrine inviting Gann to a physical fight after a heated phone conversation. During the meeting of the two near Sandhill Cemetery, Vidrine used a knife to stab Gann.

Investigator Dickerson said Gann walked into the ACE EMS facility at 3:30, the morning of Dec. 28 with the stab wound. Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Maxie Eaves arraigned Vidrine and set bond for $6,000.
