Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 90-year old Maxine Edge Sims Miller of Longview. She passed away Saturday. Service will be at 2 today, Tuesday,at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Folsom Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at 12 noon. Maxine Edge Sims Miller is survived by four children, Brenda Barr of Longview, Reito Sims of Venezuela, Ronnie Sims and Phyllis King, both of Austin; five brothers, J. Frank Edge of Lufkin, James Edge of Clute, Paul Edge of San Francisco, Lyndon Edge of Rogers, Arkansas, and Dale Edge of Pflugerville; a sister, Jackie Miller of Center, and best friend, her dog, Pretty.

Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces a graveside service for 84-year old Edwin Pate Hughes of Pasadena. He passed away last Thursday. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Blair Cemetery, Timpson. Edwin Pate Hughes is survived by his wife, Florence Shirley Hughes; two daughters, Laura Dee Hughes Swartz of Flint, and Martha Florence Hughes Silos of LaPorte; a son, David Pate Hughes of Pasadena. Edwin Pate Hughes was a 1947 graduate of Timpson High School.
