Taylor Funeral Home of Timpson announces graveside service for 62-year old Charles Wayne “Charlie” Bushiey of Timpson. He lived in the Stockman Community and worked as a welder. Graveside service will be at 1o’clock Wednesday at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Timpson. Visitation will be 6 to 8 this evening at Taylor Funeral Home. Charlie Bushiey is survived by two brothers, Bobby of Carthage, and Louie of Joaquin; and sister, Beth Bushiey of Commerce.

 

Taylor Funeral Home announces funeral service for 76-year old Bruce Riley Samford, Sr. of Timpson. He passed away Monday. Bruce Samford, Sr. was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone and was a former Shelby County Justice of the Peace Pct. 5, and city of Timpson Municipal Judge. Service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Timpson, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight at Taylor Funeral Home. Bruce Samford, Sr. is survived by his wife, Patricia of Timpson, three daughters, Sandie Crawford, Terrie Nix and Jerrie Strahan, all of Timpson, a son, Bruce Samford, Jr., of Timpson; and a sister, Carolyn Hairgrove.

 

Watson & Sons Funeral Home announces service for 88-year old Maxilene Thorn of Washington D.C., formerly of Center. She passed away last Friday at her residence. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Watson & Sons Funeral Home. Maxilene Thorn is survived by, a son, James Travis Thorn of Washington D.C.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine, announces funeral service for 79-year old Mrs. Bennie Roberts of San Augustine. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Broaddus, with burial at Harvey Cemetery.  Bennie Roberts passed away Monday in San Augustine. Visitation, 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wyman Roberts.
