Center Native Jerry Lathan has been appointed by Center City Councilmembers to take the place of the late Charlie Byndom at last night's city council meeting.  Lathan is a graduate of Center High School and returned to Center four years ago, after living elsewhere for a number of years.  He will take the oath of office at the next regular Center City Council meeting.l
