Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell says no arrests have yet been made in yesterday's discovery of the approximately 12,000 marijuana plants growing on a piece of land west of Arcadia. DPS assisted the sheriff's department in locating the estimated million dollars worth of plants. Blackwell says the property is owned by a company out of Tom Ball, but it is not beleived anyone with that company was involved in the activity. He says the land was , for the most part, considered abandoned and it is beleived a group of individuals developed the sophisticated operation with sprays and insecticides. Again, no arrests have been made.
