Center Volunteer Firefighters responded to a grass fire on Highway 96 South at the Sanford residence a little after 2 Sunday afternoon.

No injuries were reported and there was no damage reported to the house on the property.

However, the fire did destroy a shed at the location.

It took firefighters a couple of hours to get the blaze under control.
