Center city workers will be turning off the water from 2 to 5 this afternoon for customers on San Augustine Street, Terry Street, Jones Drive and Howard Streets.  Consequently, the city of Center has issued a boil water statement until further notice.  All Center water customers living on those streets to  to boil their water prior to consumption.

The water shut-down this afternoon is due to fire hydrant upgrades that are taking place
