Center Volunteer Firefigters have had a busy weekend-the most recent incident being a hay barn fire on Highway 7 East behind JB Liquor this morning at 3 AM. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. The barn , which was believed to be a total loss, belonged to Bo Klein. No one was injured. Firefighters had to return to the scene just before eight this morning to take care of some hot spots.
Firefighters also responded to a call for assistance from Shelbyville Saturday afternoon in battling a grass fire on property belonging to Lamar Rash.
Firefighters also responded to a house fire 11:05 Saturday morning at 113 County Road 1344. The house belongs to Kenneth Vernor. No further information on what caused the fire or the extent of the damage was available.
