Ribbon Cutting for

SAKS of Love

 

The Shelby County Chamber Ambassadors are excited to invite the public to a Ribbon Cutting at SAKS of Love, the newest Chamber member.  The Ribbon Cutting will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00pm.  SAKS of Love is located at 193 North George Bowers Drive, in Tenaha, Texas.

 

Christina Leary, Executive Director, founded SAKS of Love in 2017.  SAKS of Love is a non-profit organization founded on the awareness of our senior citizens needing support and love.  During the Christmas holidays, SAKS of Love distributed Christmas sacks for the elderly that were full of household supplies and food.

 

SAKS of Love not only provides assistance to senior citizens, but to families in need as well.  They provide families with household supplies, clothing, food and prayer.  SAKS of Love organized a Community Wellness Event in Tenaha  that included free Covid testing, free hygiene Bags and hand sanitzers, snacks for the kids, clothing vouchers, blood pressure checks, and much much more.

 

According to Ms. Leary, “we like to help the older people and people of all ages with clothes and food.  We like to give love and support to the community.  We also have a campaign “Inspire by You” that they would like to recognize on Saturday.”  

 

SAKS of Love is open on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturdays of the month.  On the 2nd Saturday, they serve the homeless.  SAKS of Love serve Shelby, Angelina, Panola and Nacogdoches Counties.
