Shelby County Sheriff's Office Seeks Murder Suspect

At 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, Bennett entered the lobby of the SCSO and turned himself in to authorities without incident.

 

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man wanted for murder in what sources tell KDET was a Saturday night shooting.

His name is Justin Earl Bennett and he is described as a 41-year-old black male, 5'9" and weighs 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and tattoos on both forearms. He also has scars on his left arm and left calf.

He is considered armed and dangerous and the public is warned not to approach him. Bennett was last seen in a 2017 black Chevrolet Malibu sedan with a Texas license plate of PBL9231.
