At around 3:00 p.m. on December 2, 2019, there was a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at the intersection of HWY 7 and Loop 500 on the outskirts of Center headed toward Joaquin. There were two pickup trucks involved in the wreck, a white Texas Edition Chevrolet Silverado and another pickup truck, which was dark-colored.

The Center Fire Department, Texas DPS, and the Center Police Department all responded and performed traffic control while towing serves responded to haul off the vehicles.

Multiple wrecker services responded to the scene of the wreck, San Hill Wrecker Service towed away, the dark-colored truck, while East Texas Towing and Storage hauled off the while Chevrolet Silverado. Ace EMS also responded to the scene, but according to officials on the scene, no one was hurt as a result of the crash.
