The 2019 Halloween in the Hole hosted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and John Burns Farmers Insurance Agency event had a good turn out. This is the 6th year that the event has been hosted, it was held again this year at the baseball field near the Center Roughrider Stadium, next to F.L. Moffett Primary School. Burns believes that there were around 400 children that came through this year.

There were around 40 local business vendors that showed up to give away candy in addition to some high school clubs that also helped out.  There was face painting a dance contest and candy for the kids. Halloween in the Hole according to Burns started in 2015 and was the ideal of Larry Horn. Burns said, "It's just grown every year, this year we were blessed with some really good weather."
