SHELBY COUNTY – On October 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a one vehicle roll-over crash at the intersection of SH 147 and SH 87, involving a commercial motor vehicle.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 5:30 a.m., a 2007 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling northeast on SH 147 when the truck disregarded the stop sign at SH 87, possibly due to a mechanical issue. The driver attempted to turn right onto SH 87 when the truck overturned, off the roadway.

 

The driver is identified as 48-year-old Timothy Cloud from Ville Platte, Louisiana. Cloud and a passenger were not reportedly injured during the crash.
