The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Department is assisting the Mansfield Police Department with investigating the town’s first homicide in four years. The body of 29-year old Laderrick Hadnott, was found dead by his roommate Monday in the 600 block of Topeka Street. Police are saying Hadnott is believed to have died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Authorities are still searching for a suspect in the crime.
