The Shelby County Commissioners' Court held a meeting on September 18, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. at the active Shelby County Courthouse located at 200 San Augustine Street in Center.

 

1. They approved and paid weekly expenses.

 

2. They approved the current payroll.

 

3. No public comments were given on the agenda items.

 

4. The court approved and adopted the 2019-2020 budget with the addition of the $5,000 to the Child Welfare Board.

 

5. The court approved and adopted the 2019-2020 tax rate of .7027 the same rate as last year.

 

6. They approved the 2020 Sheriff's and Constables' fees.

 

7. The court moved into an executive closed session for the purpose of consulting with the law of Flowers and Davis.

 

8. The meeting was reopened to the public.

 

9. They discussed issues discussed in the executive session, and no decisions were made.

 

10. The court adjourned.
