Caddo Parish has agreed to assume the Analytical water lines

As early as Friday, Wells Island Road residents should again have access to water.  Caddo Parish has agreed to assume the Analytical water lines and turn the valve back on.  Parish commissioners agreed during an emergency meeting to begin work on a six-month, long-term plan to have the parish pay to install new water lines. But first, those lines must be approved by Shreveport and state officials.  An agreement will allow water in the old, unregulated lines to come back on for at least six months. Those new lines will likely come with a $1,000 price tag for residents. But Commissioner Michael Williams says he hopes that the parish can eventually recover some of the costs from Analytical.
