On September 3, 2019, at around 3:20 p.m. there was a three-vehicle wreck involving a white Ford Taurus passenger car, a white GMC Sierra truck, and a white Chevrolet 4x4 High Country truck at the intersection of HWY 7 East and Loop 500 at the edge of Center, Texas.
White GMC Sierra Truck
No fatalities or injuries were observed on the scene. The Center Fire Department, Center Police Department, along with Allegiance Mobile Health, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and Texas DPS troopers all responded to the scene of the accident.
White Ford Taurus Passenger Car
Emergency crews performed traffic control as wrecker services towed away, the vehicles. Traffic continued but at a slower pace until the road was cleared of the wrecked vehicles. Sand Hill Wrecker service hauled off the white GMC truck, Hughes Wrecker Services towed away, the white Chevrolet truck and East Texas Towing & Storage hauled off the white Ford Taurus passenger car. The scene was cleared and traffic resumed it's normal flow.
