D.A. Investigator Joey Haley has confirmed the identity of the body of the man found near FM 1645 south of FM 138, as Kurt Ebner 33 of Orange, Texas. Ebner's body was discovered on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Shelby County Justice of the Peace Pct.1 Melissa Crouch held an inquest.

 

Ebner, as it appears shot and killed himself, so at this time it is believed to be a suicide. His body was sent for an autopsy.

 

His funeral services are pending at this time with the Dorman Funeral Home of Orange, Texas.
