NACOGDOCHES,TX (8-02-2019).  On August 1st, 2019 around 1:45 a.m. Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a burglary of residence call in the 100 block of Wortham Dr. Once inside Officers located both residents inside one of the bedrooms. Police Officers began giving medical aid while waiting for emergency medical personnel.

 

The elderly residents had sustained extensive injuries and were transported to the hospital by ambulance.  Based on information from the residents they were in bed when the suspect came into their bedroom with a firearm and began demanding property and assaulting them. 

 

The Nacogdoches Criminal Investigation Division along with Evidence Technicians responded to assist in the investigation.  At approximately 1:00 p.m. Detectives had identified a person of interest in the assault. The person of interest was identified as a 16 years of age juvenile who was later taken into custody for the Aggravated Robbery.  

 

The juvenile was taken to a juvenile detention center for holding. At the time of this email, both residents are believed to be in stable condition at a local hospital.
