Public Involvement Meeting Planned in Groveton

LUFKIN – Officials with the Lufkin District of the Texas Department of Transportation will offer information to the public on a proposed project in downtown Groveton on Thursday, August 8, from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Trinity County Courthouse annex building in Groveton.

The public is invited to attend as TxDOT officials present project information and maps of the proposed project locations. The project is designed to add pedestrian sidewalks and curb ramps that comply with the American Disabilities Act. The project locations will be within the city of Groveton’s downtown area.

The public, as well as business owners, are encouraged to attend. Engineers will be available to answer questions and explain the schematics for the proposed sidewalks. The ADA project is designed to provide safe access for all persons to and from existing TxDOT right-of-way.
