Burglary ring in Shelby and Panola Counties busted up

A burglary ring in Shelby and Panola Counties has been busted up after the arrest of two men last Friday night at a Timpson residence. 32-year old Edward Jasso of Timpson and 26-year old Curtis Blakley of Gary were taken into custody following an investigation that has the duo connected to at least six home burglaries in Panola County and several in Shelby County, according to Panola County Sheriff’s Department officials. They say additional individuals are being sought in the crimes. Jasso and Blackely remain in the Panola County Jail. Officials say evidence collected from the home and a car at Railroad Avenue and Todd Street in Timpson, has reportedly connected the two men to the string of burglaries.
